EMACHS Events

Awayday in 2013

EMACHS at Bakewell, 2013

EMACHS holds heritage moots * or shires heritage

gatherings around the region, with heritage

communication resources, casework studies and round

table discussion, and a guided tour of the host historic

site

Rather than arranging impersonal business venues,

EMACHS heritage moots take place in society members

homes ” — their village hall, community centre, craft

museum

A heritage moot can be initiated by any member

society giving an invitation and offering a welcome

*A moot is “an Anglo-Saxon gathering from across the shire ”, and

also “an examination of example cases ”
